On Sunday March 17th, Mr. Menelaos Pavlides celebrated his 100th Birthday, at a beautiful event organised by his family and friends. As scouting troupe leader, Mr. Pavlides taught thousands of scouts – over many decades – valuable lessons in preparing them for adult life.

Today, at 100 years old, he is still the fearless scouting leader and a pillar of our community, admired by all for his constant involvement in our community affairs and events, his dedication and commitment to all Hellenic issues and his continued leadership and organisation skills. He is truly worthy of admiration and emulation as a role model!

CHC President, Dr. Theodore Halatsis, was honoured to present a commemorative plaque, on behalf of the Canadian Hellenic Congress, “ΤΙΜΗΣ ΕΝΕΚΕΝ to Mr. Pavlides, on the day of his 100th Birthday, in recognition of his invaluable, long-serving and selfless contribution and dedication to Scouting, to Hellenism and to Society in general.”
